What Would Make World of Warcraft Better?

Ok so WoW is an awesome game, it has enough stuff to keep most people entertained. However i feel that its lacking some fairly simple things that other MMOs have, so without further ado let me discuss the *awesome* ideas ive had for WoW!

Guild Halls

Ok before alot of you start kicking up a fuss saying that there isnt enough space for Guild Halls in the game world, or there is no point to them. Let me explain my implementation of this and why it would be good....

You put about 20 Guild halls in the world, some good areas i can think of for putting them would be in STV near the beach or something, on a large floating island in nagrand, and possibly within the depths of blackrock mountain.

Once you have your 20 halls dotted in various locations throughout the world you make weekly events where each guild house can be competed for by any guild. This basically works like the chest in the arena in STV, each hall will have a channelling stone outside it, you have to succesfully channel for 10 seconds to claim the hall. However the event would be active for roughly an hour, so you would be able to spawn outside the hall until it is taken off you by someone else who manages to channel for 10 seconds. After the hour is up the person who has current control or has controlled it for the longest (this part is up for discussion), would then own the hall for the next week.

The guild hall could either be operated by a doorway that only guild members have the key to, or by an instance portal which only guild members could step through to enter, like deeprun tram. The key also doubles as a useable item to teleport yourself to your guild hall from anywhere in the world, with a 10 minute cooldown.

The guild hall would contain a few NPCs that could buff everyone inside for a small fee just like some NPCS do after quests. Also you could possibly put some rare crafts in each hall so people may want to own a hall to get a specific recipie, which can be purchased as BoP or something.

Basically this would encourage MORE guild related activity external to instances, and also create more world PvP, as well as helpping guilds organize themselves quicker for raids and getting additional buffs making it a worthwhile thing to compete for.

Bounty System

Imagine when you get camped for 10 minutes and you are SOOOOO frustrated but cant do anything, because your main is to far away, or you are too lazy or even you just cannot beat them. Its annoying situation to be in and this is the basis for the next system i propose!

You set up a couple of new NPCs called Bounty Operators or something, then you are able to put people on a bounty system like the Auction House. You offer XXg amount for someone to kill that person who you dislike, then like the Auction House bidding system it takes your money and you await for a response.

At this point other players who want to make a quick buck or are just nasty buggers can look on the Bounty System to see any bounties up for grabs they want to accept. You then get a quest to kill that player, once they die you need to get their ear like in diablo, then you get back to the NPC with the ear to claim the bounty. Only problem here is that it would need dynamic quests i think, which are not supported to my knowledge...

Although like real life bounties only one person can be paid for it, so even if 10 people kill the bounty only 1 person will get the reward, so rather than seeing it as paying 10g for someone to kill that annoying corpse camper, see it as paying 10g for that person to be stalked for the next 48 hours (or whatever duration the bounty has) and be killed MANY times for his ear.

Once the bounty has been handed in, you get a mail from the bounty system telling you that he was killed, and maybe more information like how many people went after him, where and when he was killed, and possibly you could get the ear, and have an Ear Bag to store the people you have had killed, although the latter idea sounds a bit idiotic, but im sure players would do it.

The other good thing about this system, would be you could implement quests/events that cause NPCs to register players on the Bounty System, such as if a horde sneaks into Iron Forge and is seen by an NPC they get put on the Bounty System by the Ironforge Guards or something.

Ultimatly this would make hunters tracking usefull and maybe bounty hunter teams would form, it would make world PvP alot more fun and make revenge alot easier to get for people.

Underwater Instance

I know there is coilfang, but its not a TRUE underwater instance. Imagine having to get a boat that only comes every 3 hours or something, and it takes you to a small island where you have to swim down EXTREMELY far to find the instance portal that takes you into an underwater temple or ruin.

You couldn't have it COMPLETELY underwater, as you would need small spots for people to quickly get out of the water and rest, however it would mean people would HAVE to take warlocks and other players who can do underwater breathing, also it would involve completely new tactics to raids as it would mainly be fought underwater.

I would also like to see a Kraken boss in there that would incapacitate people with its tenticles, so you had to slice them all down first to be able to attack his main body and 2 main tentacles.

Alliances

Imagine you are a small guild full of real life friends. Only way you will get into any decent high end instances is to leave your guild and enter a larger one or to recruit like mad, not really making it a small RL friend guild anymore.

So we invent Alliances, where guilds can join an Alliance so they share an alliance chat channel, and also are able to view data about the other guilds and members online. I know that you can mimic this by setting up a custom chat channel and getting everyone to join it. However only 30% of people normally acctually do that, so its only used by a few making it not too useful. So if it was actually part of the game and you could ally with other guilds within game to make it all official everyone would have the relevent channels and information at their fingertips, making groups alot easier to make and manage.

Ive had other ideas about WoW and what could be done to add more things to do in-game but for now i cannot be bothered writing anything else, happy reading!
